Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion

Preparation usually happens in the first and second grade. St. Charles uses a three-pronged approach: 
1) Students are instructed about the sacraments in their religious education classes in the School or in the Christian Formation Program in the second grade; 
2) A retreat is offered for candidates on a Saturday shortly before the celebration of each of the sacraments; and 
3) Parents attend one session of adult faith formation to assist them in fulfilling their role as the primary teachers of faith for their child and a series of sessions on this web page or on CD is provided to assist them in that process. 

Calendars are available in the parish office and through the parish religious education programs.
